This year sees the return of Acting for the Camera plus the addition of three evening intensive classes in Improv, Stage Combat and Musical Theatre Dance.

The TNB Theatre School is gearing up for another busy summer with weekly summer programs beginning in July and running through until mid August.

“This summer we have a total of ten different summer camp offerings for students ages 5-18,” said TNB Theatre School Director Sharisse LeBrun. “We will be offering all our usual camps, from Playtime though to Intermediate Musical Theatre and Intermediate Senior Acting along with the return of our well-loved Intermediate/Senior Acting for the Camera.”

For this summer’s Acting for the Camera program, the TNB Theatre School has partnered with the award-winning local film company, Strike Pictures.

“The members of Strike Pictures are not only extremely talented film makers, but they have come with a huge range of film making experience–from writing, directing, cinematography, art directions, editing, and lots of experience teaching and working with young people,” said LeBrun.

This year’s summer programming also introduces TNB Theatre School’s first series of evening intensives. These four day classes will offer intermediate and senior students the opportunity to dive deep into Improv, Stage Combat and Musical Theatre Dance.

“These classes will take place in the evenings, and be shorter, more concentrated training opportunities that allow students to focus and dive deeply into one specific element of performance,” said LeBrun. “We will be offering intensives in musical theatre dance, taught by Courtney Arsenault, and Jean-Michel Cliche will be offering intensives in improvisation, and stage combat.

“TNB summer camp season is one of my favourite times of the year,” said LeBrun. “There are always so many new faces walking through our doors, some visiting from away, others giving theatre a try for the very first time. In just a week’s time, students get to experience the excitement of bringing a show to life as a team. By the end of the week we see students grow in confidence and creativity, we see new friendships formed, and we see a love for theatre and performance instilled or grow.”

Registration is now open for all programs on a first come, first served basis. Full details including class descriptions available HERE
