Summer Programs at the TNB Theatre School begin June 29.

The TNB Theatre School’s annual summer camps are a go! After some uncertainty, recent changes to New Brunswick’s restrictions surrounding COVID-19 precautions have made it possible for many organizations to resume planned activities for the summer season. With a number of new safeguards in place, we’re excited to announce our summer programs will begin later this month.

“We’re so fortunate that our province is in a place where we can offer our summer camps this year and we can’t wait to have students, old and new, together again in the theatre school,” said TNB Theatre School Director Sharisse LeBrun. “The whole team has been working hard to get everything in place to follow the provincial public health guidelines for Early Learning, Childcare Facilities and Day Camps to ensure our students and staff are safe. This means camps will feel a little different than before, with social distancing practices, smaller class sizes, and no public performances, but they will still offer the same excellent theatre training, community, and extraordinary fun. We’re also scheming up some exciting ways to still be able to create and share performances within our restrictions.”

The programs offered this summer include Junior Acting, Junior Musical Theatre, Intermediate Musical Theatre, Intermediate Senior Acting and Intermediate Senior Acting for the Camera with returning instructors Arianna Martinez and Gordon Mihan.

“We’re also thrilled to have TNB Theatre School Alumni Rose Messenger return to teach with us again this summer,” said LeBrun. “Joining her is Carter Scott, a theatre student from St. Thomas University who is joining the team through the STU Experiential Learning Internship Program. The three of us can’t wait to have the theatre school buzzing with the sound of students again soon!”
