The Leader in Training Program is an opportunity for students in grades 6 and up to learn and build confidence in instruction and arts leadership. Participants will attend a day-long training workshop where they will learn about breaking down and leading warm ups, games, and activities for different age groups, the basics of blocking and choreographing, problem solving and student safety, and how to assist with props and other production needs. Participants will be scheduled to volunteer and assist with a Theatre School summer camp where they will get to learn from our Summer Theatre School Instructors and gain hands-on experience with our theatre school students.
Grades 3-5 | July 7-11 | 9AM-4PM | Tuition $200
Students receive introductory training in acting while embarking on a story creation process that focuses on scene development, character creation, improvisation and collaboration. Through games and exercises, students will work to find characters and stories that will be refined into a final piece.
Grades 3-5 | July 14-18 | 9AM-4PM | Tuition $200
Students receive introductory training in dance, acting, and singing through games, exercises, and bringing to life scenes and songs from a well loved musical.
Grades 3-5 | July 21-25 | 9AM-4PM | Tuition $200
Students receive introductory training in dance, acting, and singing through games, exercises, and bringing to life scenes and songs from a well loved musical.
Grades 6-8 | July 28-August 1 | 9AM- 4PM | Tuition $200 +HST
Students study intermediate acting, dance, and vocal technique as they bring to life scenes and songs from a well loved musical.
Grades 6-12 | August 5-8 9AM-4PM | Tuition $160 +HST
Students study acting theory, movement and voice as well as different forms of performance and storytelling through various workshops. Students will also use scene work and monologues to explore acting technique, voice work, and character development. These scenes and monologues will be shared in a final cabaret style performance.
