About Us:
Theatre New Brunswick is a touring, regional theatre company located in Fredericton, NB. Our shows tour all over NB and sometimes beyond. We produce several professional mainstage productions annually, as well as two shows for youth that travel to schools in the province.
We are a dynamic and creative company where no two weeks look the same! Sometimes we are more administrative, and the building is quiet and calm. Sometimes we are full with Theatre School classes, rehearsals in the theatre and meetings in the boardroom. Some days we are more fancy, preparing to open a show while some days we’re in paint clothes, moving tables around and sweeping floors.
About You:
You are an open-minded, creative person who enjoys working on your own and being a part of a team. You have some office management experience, are very well organized and able to multi-task. You have great written and oral communication skills and can easily engage with patrons and parents in a friendly, professional manner. When the unexpected happens, you can confidently figure out what to do.
The position starts at 30 hours per week. Some evenings and weekends are required and possibly travel when we are presenting shows. There is flexibility around hours and working from home, however as this position is key to the day-to-day management of the theatre, it requires regular presence in the office. Like everyone else here, you will work in multiple areas: Box Office, Theatre School, Young Company, artist relations, general administrative duties and dealing with the public.
Experience with spreadsheets, handling cash & payments, and box office, are needed. A driver’s license is considered an asset.
These are the kinds of duties you will be responsible for:
Organize, coordinate and track registration and payment for TS programs.
Maintains an up to date student database.
Primary contact for Young Company bookings.
Coordinates communication with schools with stage management.
Maintains accommodation database.
Primary contact for signed artists for artist accommodation arrangements and assisting with travel arrangements.
Compile tour accommodation options for touring productions.
Organize and operate Box Office for all Open Space Theatre and Theatre School performances.
Organize Box Office for all TNB tours including going on tour with the Production team.
Organize and assist with Concession Sales for all Open Space Theatre performances.
The deadline to apply is June 26. Send a resume and cover letter to Joanna Bryson at generalmanager@tnb.nb.ca
