Grant from the Fredericton Community Foundation will directly support student bursaries at the TNB Theatre School.

Our student bursary program got a serious boost this month!

The Fredericton Community Foundation has awarded the TNB Theatre School a grant through its Community Grants program in the amount of $4875 to support student tuition bursaries for summer, fall and winter programs at the TNB Theatre School.

We are so very grateful for Fredericton Community Foundation’s support of our theatre school bursary program,” said TNB Theatre School Director Sharisse LeBrun. “Here at TNB, we regularly get to witness the transformative power of theatre, storytelling, and community in a young person’s life. I am so thrilled that through the support of the Fredericton Community Foundation, we’ll be able to welcome more young people into this experience this coming year who may not otherwise be able to attend the theatre school.”

Bursaries are an important part of each season at the TNB Theatre School, providing assistance to potential students and their families by offsetting the cost of enrollment in programs. Working specifically with individuals and community groups throughout the Greater Fredericton Area, this program will broaden TNB’s impact on the community and strengthen the Theatre School’s position as an open, inviting space for Fredericton area youth regardless of ability, race, religion, sexual orientation or financial means.

The TNB Theatre School is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse community and prides itself on offering students a safe, fun and supportive environment where they can learn and develop their skills as performers.
