Five musicals for the price of one: From Rodgers and Hammerstein to Kander and Ebb, Jerry Herman to Stephen Sondheim and of course Andrew Lloyd Webber, it’s a hilarious satire of musicals famous composers never got to write… but should have! It’s a send-up as funny as any stand-up!
Fredericton’s own Fred McCausland takes on some of Canada’s top musical theatre talent: Jennifer Toulmin ( the Charlottetown Festival’s “Anne”), Jake Simons (“Riff” from The Stratford Festival’s West Side Story) and two-time Dora-award nominee Judy Marshak (“Mrs. Potts” in the Beauty and the Beast) in this high energy musical match-up.
The Musicals of Musicals runs March 15-17, 2012 at The Fredericton Playhouse and March 18, 2012 at Moncton’s Capitol Theatre.
