TNB Theatre School Summer Dance Intensive
August 25-26| TNB Studio, 55 Whiting Road
Ages 13-19
Tuition: $75
Next May the Sharks and the Jets square off on the Playhouse Stage in TNB Senior Musical Theatre School’s West Side Story. To get ready to rumble (and rhumba!) you won’t want to miss this two-day intensive. Instructors include Caleb Marshall (Fight Choreo), Lesandra Dodson (Movement) and more.
Fight Choreography West Side Story offers up some of the most elaborate and famous fight scenes in musical theatre. You’ll learn how to play it cool when things heat up for your character.
Latin Dance West Side Story is one of the most demanding productions we’ve undertaken in terms of dance and for the first time we’ll be delving into the world of Latin Dance. Mambo! Mambo! Go!
Movement The characters in West Side Story are in near constant movement. We’ll explore styles such as jazz and modern dance as well as how movement helps you create a character.
- August 25th: 11am – 5pm (Lunch break: 12:30 – 1:30pm)
- August 26th: 10am – 5pm (Lunch break: 12 – 1pm)
Space is limited. Sign up today! Call 506.460.1381, ext. 106, or email theatreschool@tnb.nb.ca.
Note: Although this Intensive is aimed at students looking to take part in West Side Story, it is open to other actors or dancers who would like to explore the movement styles of this piece.
